Youth Trip to DC Holocaust Museum

We have been talking about this and planning this for a while… Our Synagogue is taking all of our Hebrew School students to visit the US Holocaust Museum in Washington DC, this upcoming June. Of course, while visiting our nation’s capital, we plan to visit some important sights connected to our nation’s history as well. This is an educational trip. While all of our young people have heard guest speakers tell stories of the Holocaust and have been to the local museums, the US Holocaust Museum in DC is truly remarkable. The artifacts and how they tell the story are so powerful. And the history of how hatred can threaten an entire people is particularly relevant right now as persecution of Jews is on the rise worldwide.

If you know DC, then you also know how expensive it is to do anything in that city. So would you donate towards this educational trip? All donations will go directly to our “youth fund” which we plan to use to make this trip affordable and possible for all families.
